Fleur De Lis Birthday Card

It has been many months since I posted and now a second post on the same day. I finally finished 4 cards today. Hopefully I will assemble several Christmas cards this evening. This will help me to be able to blog for a while.

This card I started early in October but for whatever reason never finished it until today. It is a very, very large card. It was meant for my sisters birthday, which was 3 weeks ago and I hope that I finally will mail her card and another birthday card that was due on October 30th. I just wish I could take better pictures and could arrange the pictures better.

I used quite a few Spellbinder die cuts on this one. As all of you know the big medallion was made with the Borderabilities Fleur De Lis die cut and put it on top of a Nestibilities Classic Scalloped Square - Large. I had to case Becca Fekken's creation. I just love her elegant designs. Well, her cards are perfect, mine are not. Why do I see all the imperfections after the card is done and the pictures are taken. All the DP is from Cosmo Cricket-Everafter. I really love their papers. It is really hard for me to start cutting them up. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy from the german set and I stamped it on a shape from the Ribbon Tag Trio 2. The inside labels are cut with the Nestabilies Labels 5.

I hope my sister will like the card and you do too.

Thank you all for stopping by.

  3. OMGoodness, Marie! How are you? I've missed you so! Thanks for stopping by so now I know you're back! This is a beautiful card and it took a lot of patience. I have this Fleur de Lis die and at first was struggling getting them out of the die! They were so stuck! So, I can really appreciate all the hard work you put into this gorgeous card! It's very precious, and I love the papers you've used. I'm so happy you're back! Hugs, Cami
