hAnglar Rag Doll for Friday Sketchers

It's the weekend....yeah.... and I get to craft a little.
When I saw yesterdays sketch for Friday Sketchers, I was surprised that I had unknowingly started a card that had a lot of the elements already cut and ready to go. All I needed to do was cut an oval and do some embellishment.

Vielen Dank Tanja, jetzt konnte ich schnell eine Karte fertigen.

The matting is from PTI and the DP is Pink Paisley. I colored this cute image with Distress Inks and made some flowers with the single layered ones from Prima and sewed on PTI bottons. That's the only "sewing" I have done so far on my cards. I used my ice white Viva Pearl Pen on the Nestability Die Label Ten. The ribbon/garn is from my stash and the bronze label is from SU.

Wow, I am not rambling today.....

I hope you will give this sketch a try because I really enjoyed using it.

Santa's List

Okay, I know. Something is up, I just don't know what it is......lololol. I don't craft for months and all the sudden I am going crazy. I never stopped but so far it has only been in my head.
I started last night on this Christmas card and I had almost all the papers placed and cut the way I wanted them, except for the brown horizontal one. Then as I was checking Jeannette's blog this morning I saw that she was the hostess for this weeks Friday Sketchers. You all know that she is an extremely talented lady. I never have followed anybodies sketch or entered a challenge blog. So now I am trying for the second one..... Is this crazy, or what !?!?!

I hope I can keep the rest short and sweet, since I have been rambling. Okay, I used SU caramel for the base of the card and the matting is Basic Grey Wassail, last years Christmas paper. The green one is PTI from the Green Tea Leaves collection. The image is a digital one from Sassy Cheryl. Since it is digital, I had to print it out on the watercolor paper that I got at the local CS. It  is thinner but you can't color as well but I "had to" use distress inks...lololol. It is cut with the Spellbinders Label 1 and the green paper with Label 8. I cut the brown DP with a large rectangle. The ribbon is from my stash and the die cuts are from Fiskars. Some Dew Drops and a X-mas tree charm from my stash. Sorry, I can't get a better picture today but if you enlarge it I think you can get a better idea of the colors. One minute the sun is shining and the next minute the clouds are back.

Voila!!! My first Christmas card for 2010. I hope you like it. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy your Sunday ....

Vintage Tilda Princess

I decided for the first time ever to enter a card challenge. The Just Magnolia challenge this week is VINTAGE. I love Vintage but I don't think I quite hit the mark.
I finally colored a Tilda again using Copics. Christina sent me this cutie...thanks my friend. The die cuts are also a gift from Christina and it is the first time I used them. I can't believe I waited so long, they are great to work with and I really love the results.
The CS is from PTI and the matting is Websters Pages. I distressed the papers with the Tim Holtz Distresser and also aged the papers with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The flowers are from Prima and I punched out a flower with a Retro Flower Punch for the Mini Rose.  I almost forgot to mention that the wine colored rose is from the Blog Candy I received from Jacque. Thanks so much !!! The leaves are made with an MS punch. I used my Viva Pearl Pen Cream to add the pearls to the ovals. The flowers and Tilda are covered in mega Diamond Stickles but I don't think it really shows. The brown lace is from my stash and I topped it with a Webster Ribbon..

I guess that's all for today. Thanks so much for taking a look at my creation.

Fairy Tabia

I have finished another card that will finally make it's way to San Francisco. I hope the little girl will like it.

I so love the Mo's images. They are so cute and I have a small collection of Mo's digital images that have never seen any ink. Well, one of these days they all will show up on one of my cards.

I used SU Lavender Lace and Kaisercraft DP for the matting. Tabia is colored with Copics and I added some Diamond Glaze to the bubbles. Several Prima flowers were layered for a more dimensional look and I added some Dew Drops and a paper clip from my stash.

For the inside I also chose the Kaisercraft DP, ribbon from my stash and Mini Prima Roses. I cut the clouds with a PTI die and the saying is also from PTI from the Mega Mixed Messages set.

I am scheduling this card and I hope it works. This is the second time I have done it, so wish me luck.

I hope you like Tabia as much as I do. I think she is the cutiest fairy around.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for dropping by....

Lockhart Orchid

Today I like to show you a little, simple card I finished a few weeks ago. I really like this little stamp from Karen Lockhart. Orchids are such delicate flowers that lend themselves for simple cards. I colored the flowers with Prisma pencils and the cardstock and matting is from my stash. Instead of using a ribbon I chose the material they used to use to support the orchid stems with. For the life of me, I can't remember what it is called. Maybe somebody with a green thumb can help me out. Both the sayings on the outside and inside are from PTI.

On the inside I stamped an image from PTI Background Basics, Spots and Dots with PTI Pure Poppy. The red label was cut with the Mat Stack #1 die cut and the white label with a die cut from the Tea for Two collection from Papertrey Ink.

Well, that is it for today. Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping by.

hAnglar Boy Sitting On The Moon

Hello Everybody,
I was real busy yesterday creating several cards. There must have been something different in my coffee...hehehe.

I received this stamped image a long time ago from my dear friend Christina and I had colored it some time last year. It is another baby card but this time there is no expected baby boy.

I loosely followed the challenge on 'Lovely hAnglar Only' challenge blog. For my base I used SU YoYo Yellow and the matting is PTI, except for the yellow, which is the same SU paper. I distressed the matting papers with the Tim Holtz distresser and I think this is actually the first time I did this. I colored the image with Prisma pencils and added some yellow stickles to the star he is holding. The moon for the left top corner is from the PTI 'Night, Night Moon' set, stamped with a bit of PTI Enchanted Evening and the little stars are created from a MS punch. Don't you like those itty bitty clouds? They are punched out with one of those small punches, can't recall the maker. All the large stars for this card are punched out with a Fiskars punch. The little tag is from the hAnglar baby set and the ribbon is from my stash.

Well, not much more to say...... :). I added a baby rattle charm to one of the stars on the inside and a blue Prima flower to the other one.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a nice rest of the weekend.

Baby Oh Baby

I know, I know, it is unbelievable that I have finished another card.

In a few weeks my friends  son and her daughter-in-law will welcome a baby girl to the family. I can't believe that I finished it ahead of time. I still have to make tags for the presents and I will try to make a little box for the baby shoes I bought. Hopefully I will get that done soon.

The image is from my dear friend Christina C. She probably doesn't even remember that she had stamped it for me. I have had it for such a long time. Thank you so very much Christina, I always loved this sweet image of the sleeping baby.

The cardstock is from my stash and I colored the image with Prisma Pencils. The sheer ribbon is from May Arts and the pink rickrack is from 'My Minds Eye' the Lush Collection. The Prima roses were off white and I spritzed them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist 'Cherry Blossom'. They look peachy in the picture but they did turn out pink. What do you think about the embossed borders and images? I just love them. It is from a brandnew PTI set called 'Night Night Moon' by Heather Nichols. I stamped them with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

On the inside I stamped another one of the borders and randomly stamped some of the single stamps and again embossing them. I computer generated the saying and cut the two layers with Nestabilities Labels #10. The pearls and the shoes are from my stash.

When I showed the card to my husband, he said he loved it but when he saw the inside he said, "Why didn't you write it in German?"....Daaaaaaahhhh, I guess I have become too americanized....lolololol

Thanks for dropping by and leaving such nice comments. I am off to hopefully work some more on one of my many unfinished cards.
