Home Made Template House and Gingerbread Man Card

It has been almost 3 weeks again since I last posted. Besides being extremely busy at the office, doing Christmas preparations and trying to make Christmas cards I haven't had time to post what I have made.
First I like to show you a little gift box I made from the Home Made template from PTI. It is a little house that I had intended to decorate with gingerbread men and other various items you find on a gingerbread house. Well, it didn't look right so I left it as is.
I used SU Kraft for the house and brown PTI cardstock for the roof of the house and the dormers. I stamped the window and doors on PTI cream CS using SU Chocolate chip for the window frames and for the front door and curtains used SU Pumpkin Pie. On the sides of the house I added a little fence stamped with the MS punch. The roof is removable so you can add some goodies.
This was quite a project for me. All this cutting and glueing and checking again to make sure I had aligned everything. I know I will make another one in some bright in cheery colors. Now if only I could take nice pictures.

Now for my second post. I sure wish I knew what I was doing..... grrr. I am not a blogger.

I also made a card using the Gingerbread Man Image from PTI's Holiday Button Bits. I used SU Kraft for the base of the card and SU real red for the layers. This is the best red CS I have found. It is such a true deep red. I stamped the dotted border with PTI Pure Poppy. The stamp is from the PTI Polka Dot Basic set. I stamped the gingerbread man with SU chocolate chip and PTI dark chocolate on PTI cream CS. I used PTI Pure Poppy buttons on his belly, voila. I cut the image and the matting with Spellbinders Nestabilities Squares. The red velvet ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is also from the PTI Holiday Button Bits. I had also added 3 Dew Drop jewels to the bottom of the card but had taken the pictures before that. I made 6 of these cards and they all have been sent. The only picture with the jewels came out blurry. On the left inside of the card I stamped the Gingerbread Man again and used a red and green jewel for the buttons. I believe the sentiment is from SU and I used Spellbinders Labels Four.

I have several more cards finished. All of them were suppose to be fast and easy but since I made them in sets of 5 and 6 it still took forever. I did a lot of embossing which also is quite time consuming. So much for quick mass production. I have so many ideas in my head for Christmas cards but so far none of them are coming together. I am spending so much time on trying to put them together and then give up. For weeks now I have been slaving over a card for a dear, dear friend and nothing seems to work. Last night I tried some other papers and it will have to do. I am so disappointed because it was suppose to be such a pretty card.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Now I am realizing that all the pictures probably will show up on top of the posting. I have no idea how I can get the Gingerbread Man Card to post on the bottom. Is anybody out there that would help me? Pleeeeaaase !!!
